Shirley Yu

Shirley Yu is an accomplished data scientist currently serving as Lead Data Scientist at WeArisma since July 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Data Scientist at Network Rail from March 2021 to December 2022, and various positions at BBC where Shirley advanced from Data Scientist to Senior Data Scientist between January 2017 and March 2021. An early career included roles as Analytics Consultant and Analytics Associate Consultant at Capgemini Invent from September 2014 to January 2017, and as Graduate Econometrician at MediaCom in 2014. Shirley also gained experience as a Forecasting Analyst during a student placement at British Gas in 2013. Academic qualifications consist of an MSc in Computer Vision, Robotics and Machine Learning from the University of Surrey, an MSc in Operational Research from Lancaster University, and a BSc in Mathematical Economics & Statistics from the University of Birmingham.
