Jeffrey de Wit

Lead Engineer at WebDevStudios

Jeffrey is a Lead Engineer at WebDevStudios. He works as part of a team of Backend and Frontend Engineers to help clients such as Campbell’s, Microsoft, and Viacom bring the best out of their websites.

He was born and raised in the wonderful city of the Hague in the Netherlands. His early enthrallment with computers lead to programming his first games in QBasic and creating awfully amazing table websites. The enthrallment lead to a degree in Communication and Multimedia Design and a deep fascination with accessibility. This also lead to his first job developing under strict government accessibility guidelines, loving it, and turning building accessible functionality into second nature.

Now, after reaching the Floridian beaches and not burning to a crisp from direct exposure to the sun, he is putting his skills to good use in ensuring the final product will not only run well and look good, but is also usable by anyone. He has since infiltrated/contributes to the Make WordPress Accessible group and WordCamp Orlando organization team. When he’s not coding, you’ll most likely find him playing a video game or watching a movie of some sort—or hanging out with friends.
