Emily vander Weele

Emily Vander Weele has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and organizations. Emily is currently employed at Weber Shandwick since April 2022, where they serve as a Director of Public Affairs. Prior to this, they held positions within the same company, including Senior Manager from April 2021 to March 2022, Manager from April 2019 to March 2021, Senior Associate from March 2018 to March 2019, Account Executive from February 2017 to February 2018, and Assistant Account Executive from June 2016 to January 2017.

Emily also gained experience at Powell Tate as an Assistant Account Executive from June 2016 to January 2017. Emily started their professional journey as an intern at Blakey & Agnew LLC from May 2015 to December 2015. Emily further interned at the Democratic National Committee as a Research Intern from August 2014 to December 2014 and as a Marketing Intern from May 2014 to August 2014.

Additionally, they served as a Democratic Policy & Communications Center Intern at the U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's office from June 2013 to August 2013. Emily started their career as an intern at Obama for America from June 2011 to March 2012.

Outside of their professional roles, they volunteered at Misericordia Chicago from August 2008 to December 2011, Chicago for Rahm Emanuel from December 2010 to February 2011, and Alexi Giannoulias for U.S. Senate from December 2009 to November 2010.

Emily Vander Weele attended the Latin School of Chicago from 2008 to 2012. After completing their high school education, they enrolled at The George Washington University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Communication from 2012 to 2016.
