Kaoru Nakagawa (Misaka)

Kaoru (Misaka) Nakagawa has an extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Kaoru is currently employed at Weber Shandwick, where they serve as the Executive Vice President and Head of Health. Prior to this, they were the Senior Vice President and Head of Health at the same company. Before joining Weber Shandwick, Nakagawa worked at Edelman for a decade, starting as an Assistant Director for Brand and progressing in their career. Kaoru also held the position of General Manager at Mynavi USA Corporation from 2007 to 2010. Earlier in their career, Nakagawa worked at Japan Echo Inc. as the Deputy Managing Editor and Director of the Communications Department for almost a decade. Kaoru also served as a Special Researcher on Media and Public Relations at the Consulate General of Japan in New York for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Kaoru (Misaka) Nakagawa earned a Master's degree in Media/Publishing from New York University, completing their studies in 2007. In 2009, they pursued an Executive MBA at Baruch College, which they successfully completed in 2011. Prior to these degrees, Nakagawa attended Kobe College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. Furthermore, they studied at St Margaret's College in Christchurch, New Zealand, although the specific duration and field of study are unknown.

In addition to their formal education, Nakagawa has obtained several certifications. In November 2020, they earned a Certificate in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School Online. Kaoru also holds a Certificate in Behavioral Economics from Ogilvy Consulting UK, which they acquired in April 2021. Lastly, in May 2021, Nakagawa completed the Behavioural Science for Brands certification offered by the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
