Gabe Cohen is a skilled technology professional specializing in open standards, decentralized identity, and verifiable credentials. Currently serving as the Director of Open Standards at TBD, a business unit of Block, Gabe engages with industry standards organizations such as W3C and OIDF. Previously, Gabe co-founded AngryTeenagers, focusing on environmentally-friendly blockchain solutions, and held various engineering and management roles at Workday, Fast, and 3Box Labs, concentrating on identity management and decentralized web tooling. Gabe's extensive experience includes leadership in cross-industry standards projects and contributions to significant initiatives in decentralized identity and open source technology. Gabe holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UC San Diego and serves as Co-Chair of the W3C Decentralized Identifier Working Group.
