Jake Abma is an experienced accessibility strategist and founder, currently serving as CPO at Funka Max while also holding the position of CEO. With extensive involvement in various working groups at W3C, including the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group and Accessible Platform Architectures Working Group, Jake contributes to developing and maintaining web accessibility standards. As a UN CRPD ambassador, Jake raises awareness of the rights of people with disabilities. Previous roles include co-chairing the European Cards Stakeholders Group accessibility task force and serving as chairman of the Dutch Payments Association workgroup on accessibility and inclusivity. Jake's technical background includes leading accessibility initiatives at ING Nederland and previous positions as a front-end engineer.
