J J Riley

J J Riley has over three decades of work experience in various roles and industries. J J is currently the Director of Software Engineering at WebstaurantStore, where they lead a department of software engineers and business analysts in building, integrating, maintaining, and modernizing applications.

Prior to their current role, Riley served as a Program Manager at Softrams, where they led an effort to stabilize and modernize the Medicaid Drug Programs for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

J J also worked as the Head of PMO - WITS Division at FEI Systems, overseeing the program management office for products that meet the behavioral and mental health needs of over 30 states and large counties in the US.

Riley has previous experience as the Director of Product Development/Software Engineering at eBay, where they were responsible for software planning, architecture, design, and implementation for new features and products.

Before eBay, they worked at Lockheed Martin in various roles, including software developer, program manager, and software engineering manager. Their expertise focused on ground segment development for satellites and spacecraft.

They also completed coursework in Computer Science at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Riley obtained a B.S. in Computer and Information Sciences from Saint Leo University. Riley has a non-degree Engineering education in Computer Engineering/Pennoni Honors Program (now College) from Drexel University, completed between 1993 and 1996. They also received certifications in SAFE Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile in 2018 and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2020.
