Nick Homan

Head Coach, Track & Field & Assistant Coach, Cross Country at Webster University Leiden

Homan was named the Head Men's and Women's Track and Field Coach in January 2022.

Homan was hired as the assistant track and field coach at Webster in the fall of 2021. He came to Webster from Central Methodist (Mo.) University where he served as the assistant track and field coach since January of 2017. While at Central Methodist, Homan coach NAIA All-Americans in the pole vault, decathlon, hurdles, hammer throw, discus, and shot put while guiding Drew Gandy to an NAIA National Championship in the decathlon. He also assisted with recruiting, wrote supervised student-athlete training programs, and assisted with the organization of track meets.

While working as an assistant track coach at Central Methodist, Homan also served as an admissions representative. He generated inquiries about the university both nationally and globally while advising prospective students on educational opportunities, admission standards, financial assistance, and university policies. He helped to coordinate travel schedules to college fairs and participated in on-campus and off-campus recruiting events.

In addition, Homan has served as an Olympic Weightlifting and Strength coach since 2019. He has recruited personal training clientele and created training programs tailored to meet the unique needs of individual clients. He has outlined dietary and nutritional plans while teaching weightlifting techniques.

Homan competed for the Central Methodist (Mo.) University track and field team while in college. He was the 2015 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Champion in the pole vault and was a two-time NAIA All-American. He was a six-time Heart of America Athletic Conference Champion and was ranked in the Top 50 World Rankings in both 2017 and 2018. He was also the Missouri State and Open Weightlifting Champion in 2021.

Homan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology in December of 2016 from Central Methodist (Mo.) University.
