Gary Israel

Gary Israel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Gary recently held the position of Senior Managing Director, Information Risk at Webster Bank. Prior to that, they served as the SVP and Director of Information Risk and Technology Risk at the same company. In addition, Gary also worked as a Senior Vice President and Director of Internal Audit at Webster Bank for a period of four years. Before joining Webster Bank, Gary worked as an Assistant Vice President, IT Audit at XL Group, where they managed global IT audits for insurance and corporate divisions. Gary also served as the Associate IT Audit Director at Aetna, where they focused on managing risk-based compliance and security audits. Gary's earlier experience includes roles such as Enterprise Data Warehousing Project Manager at The Hartford Financial Services Group, Assistant Vice President, Enterprise Architect at CIGNA Healthcare, and Web Development Manager at Shoplink Inc.

Gary Israel earned a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) degree in Information Security and Forensics and Homeland Security from Penn State University from 2010 to 2012. Gary also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from Appalachian State University. Additionally, they obtained various certifications including Open FAIR™ Certification in 2020, CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional in 2014, CIA - Certified Internal Auditor in 2013, and Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) in 2007.
