Patti Constant has worked in various roles in the healthcare and public health sector since 1998. Patti began their career at Hennepin County Medical Center as an HIV Case Manager in 1998, providing appropriate support to individuals diagnosed with HIV. In 2001, they joined the Minnesota Department of Health as a Syphillis Elimination Coordinator, where they pioneered Minnesota's first Syphilis Elimination Program. Patti then moved into the role of Disease Intervention Specialist, receiving national recognition for their work on partner notification and cluster mapping. In 2006, they began working at the University of MN Centers for Public Health Education and Outreach as a Continuing Education Specialist, where they managed the budget, planned, implemented and evaluated online and in-person trainings for public health and lay professionals regarding emergency preparedness. In 2016, they became an Independent Distributor for Young Living Essential Oils. In 2019, they joined Shelley's Social Media as a Social Media Brand Ambassador. Most recently, in 2021, they joined WeCo Accessibility Services as a Client Relations Specialist, where they help organizations make websites/software/mobile applications accessible.
Patti Constant began their educational journey at Cambridge-Isanti High School from 1986-1989. Patti then attended the University of Minnesota from 1989-1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Relationships, Youth Studies, and Sociology. Finally, they returned to the University of Minnesota from 2001-2004, where they earned a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in Public Health and Communuity Health Education.
