Filipe Bello

Filipe Bello has a diverse work experience in the actuarial field. Filipe is currently employed at wefox as the Head of Pricing L&H since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at wefox as a Pricing Actuary - Life from July 2021 to December 2021.

Before joining wefox, Filipe worked at VITALIS as a Senior Actuarial Consultant from February 2020 to July 2021. In this role, they performed consultancy in various fields of actuarial sciences, including Solvency II, and collaborated with the actuarial team. Filipe was also responsible for developing econometric and financial models.

From 2012 to 2018, Filipe worked at Prudential do Brasil, starting as a Junior Pricing Actuary from December 2012 to June 2015. Filipe then progressed to become a Pricing Actuary from July 2015 to December 2017, and eventually a Senior Pricing Actuary from January 2018 to August 2018.

Filipe's early career included a role as an Actuarial Trainee at Alterra Reinsurance Limited from May 2012 to December 2012. Filipe also gained experience as an Actuarial Intern at SUSEP - Superintendência de Seguros Privados from July 2011 to May 2012.

Filipe Bello pursued their education in a sequential manner. Filipe began with a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from UERJ, which they completed between 2009 and 2013. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Actuarial Science from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management, studying from 2018 to 2020. Building on their strong academic foundation, Filipe is currently working towards a Doctor's Degree in Applied Mathematics for Economics and Management from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management, with an expected completion in 2024.

In addition to their formal education, Filipe Bello has obtained several certifications in the field of Actuarial Science. Notably, they became a "Full Member" of the Instituto dos Atuários Portugueses in 2020 and the IBA - INSTITUTO BRASILEIRO DE ATUÁRIA in 2014. Furthermore, Filipe achieved the "Aktuar DAV" certification from the German Association of Actuaries in 2021.
