Leah Salgado

Leah Salgado has a diverse work experience. Leah is currently the Director of Narrative Strategy at the Weissberg Foundation, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at IllumiNative Org, starting as the Deputy Director from August 2019 to September 2021. Leah then served as the Chief Impact Officer from September 2021 to April 2023. At IllumiNative, they oversaw various programs, managed staff, and advised top streaming studios and other Hollywood studios on cultural authenticity and education.

Before their role at IllumiNative Org, Leah worked as a Senior Communications Strategist at Hattaway Communications from August 2018 to August 2019. Their responsibilities included business development, strategy development, communications coaching, and account management for various clients.

Earlier in their career, Leah worked as an Advocacy Programs Coordinator at Alliance for Justice from September 2014 to February 2015. Leah also served as the Assistant Director of Cornell Forensics at Cornell University from September 2012 to August 2014. Their responsibilities in this role included directing operations for the Cornell International Summer Debate Camp and representing the program on recruitment trips overseas.
