Stefan Schmid

Stefan Schmid is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as a Principal Investigator at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society and as a Professor at Technische Universität Berlin and the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology SIT. With a robust research background, Stefan Schmid held the position of Fellow at the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies and previously taught as a Professor at the University of Vienna and an Associate Professor at Aalborg Universitet. A former Senior Research Scientist at Deutsche Telekom, Stefan Schmid also completed postdoctoral work at the University of Paderborn and TU München, alongside earning a PhD at ETH Zurich. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Computer Science from ETH Zürich.
