Debra Weinstein

Debra Weinstein has a diverse and extensive work experience. Debra is currently the Director, Bay Area at the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science, a position they have held since March 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Executive Director of Development North America at the Friends of Israel Initiative from July 2012 to March 2019. Debra also served as the Assistant Director at Heritage Study Programs from January 2010 to April 2014.

Additionally, Debra has worked as a Jewish Peoplehood Programming Consultant at the Koret-Taube Foundations from January 2012 to January 2014. During their time there, they developed and led innovative programming, tripled event attendance, and stimulated new interest in Israel and Jewish engagement.

Debra has also held positions as a Certified Life Coach at CITO from November 2011 to June 2013, a Program Officer at MZ Foundation from July 2012 to November 2012, and an Independent Grant Evaluator at Koret-Taube Foundation from August 2011 to December 2011.

Earlier in their career, Debra worked as a Program Associate at the Taube Foundation from January 2008 to August 2011. Debra was involved in planning events for high net worth donors in San Francisco and Poland, including meetings with prominent political figures.

Lastly, Debra served as the Regional Development Director at the Middle East Forum from October 2006 to December 2008. In this role, they identified new potential donors, maintained relationships, coordinated fundraising events, and served as a liaison for donor communication.

In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) in Leadership, Personal, Team, and Executive Coaching in March 2015.
