Sharon Summers

Sharon Summers has over 17 years of diverse work experience in event management, marketing, and sales. Sharon is currently working as the Director of Global Events at WEKA since October 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Event Global Marketing at Syncron from November 2021 to October 2022.

From August 2019 to November 2021, Sharon worked as the Director of Global Events at CPA Global. Before that, they held various roles in the company, including Senior Marketing Manager Events, North America, and Marketing Manager, Events North America, from January 2015 to August 2019.

Sharon also worked as a Corporate Event Manager at Innography: IP Answers. Business Results from January 2015 to March 2017. With Alliance Tech, Sharon served as an Inside Sales & Marketing Representative from October 2013 to January 2015 and as a Marketing Communications Specialist from April 2011 to October 2013.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Marketing Advisor at Family, Morale Welfare Recreation (FMWR) from March 2009 to February 2011. Sharon started their career as a Marketing Specialist at LifeSize Communications from January 2005 to January 2007, managing demo schedules, coordinating sales programs, and handling purchase orders. Sharon also worked as a Sales Agent at American Premiere Homes in 2005, where they managed new home construction sites, handled sales and contract negotiations, and built relationships with regional realtors.

Sharon Summers attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs. During their time at the university, they also specialized in Print Journalism. In 2020, they acquired a certification in Writing a Marketing Plan from LinkedIn.
