Tomer Cohen

Tomer Cohen has diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tomer began their career in the Israeli Navy, serving as a mechanic for three years. Afterward, they worked as a QA engineer for the Israeli Tourism Office, where they executed testing on web applications.

Tomer then joined Allot Communications as a QA engineer, followed by a role at NICE Systems as a networking and security QA activity leader. During their time at NICE Systems, they also served as a load engineer, conducting load tests on scaled environments.

In 2006, Tomer transitioned to IBM, where they held multiple roles. Tomer started as a senior QA engineer in manual test for the XIV Storage Core, responsible for functional verification. Tomer then became the system QA team leader for Gen4, SDS, Gen3, and Next Generation of XIV Storage Products. Tomer oversaw a team of 12-15 members globally.

At IBM, Tomer also served as the team lead for the SDS FVT/SVT team, working on the "Spectrum Accelerate" system testing effort. Tomer collaborated with teams worldwide, providing guidance on strategy, approach, and test efficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

After spending almost a decade with IBM, Tomer joined NICE Systems again in 2011. Tomer took on the role of a load testing system engineer, where they designed lab equipment specifications, built test plans, and mentored IT members and load engineers. Tomer also collaborated with third-party vendors and conducted risk analysis for cost-saving processes.

Most recently, Tomer joined WEKA in 2022 as a quality assurance team lead.

Tomer Cohen earned a B.Sc degree in Mathematics and Computer Engineering from Netanya Academic College, which they attended from 2001 to 2004. Tomer has also obtained certifications including Virtualization Certified Professional from VMWARE, CCA for Citrix XenServer from Citrix, ISTQB - Advanced from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board, and Cisco Certified Network Administration from Cisco Systems Inc.
