Deborah Bowyer

Business Systems and Data Analyst – Smart Meters at Wel Networks

Deborah Bowyer has a diverse background in various roles. Deborah began their career at Wintec - Waikato Institute of Technology as a Geology Tutor from February 2002 to June 2004. Deborah then joined Mighty River Power as a Geothermal Project Geologist from January 2005 to June 2010. Deborah later joined NZIHT as a Geology Tutor in July 2003 and remained in this role until July 2012. In November 2011, they joined WEL Networks as an Application and Data Analyst - Smart Networks, and later transitioned to the role of Business Systems and Data Analyst - Smart Meters in November 2016.

Deborah Bowyer has a diverse education history in the field of Geographical Information Science and Earth Sciences. Deborah obtained a Master of Science degree in Geographical Information Science from Lund University in 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Certificate in Environmental Management from the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand in 2007. Deborah also holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Earth Sciences from The University of Waikato, which they earned in 2002. Before their doctorate, they obtained a Master of Science and Technology (Hons) degree in Earth Sciences from the same university in 1996. Their educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Sciences and Economics from The University of Waikato in 1994.
