Francis Flores, BSc MEngNZ

Francis Flores has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Francis started their career as a Project Engineer at Cityland, Inc. in 2006, where they worked until 2009. Francis then joined Manila Electric Company as a Civil Design Engineer and worked there for four years.

In 2013, Francis joined WEL Networks and held various roles throughout their tenure. Francis started as a Distribution Designer/Estimator and worked in this position until 2018. During this time, they provided conceptual and detailed design solutions for electricity supply infrastructure.

In 2018, Francis was promoted to the position of Senior Designer/Estimator at WEL Networks. In this role, they reviewed and approved formal design packs, provided technical leadership, and mentored the Distribution Design Team. Francis held this position until 2019.

From 2019 to 2022, Francis served as a Contract Manager at WEL Networks. In this role, they managed the delivery of projects from design to commissioning and close-out. Francis was responsible for awarding works packages and supporting the finalization of the annual works program.

Currently, Francis holds the position of Delivery Partner Performance Manager at WEL Networks. In this role, they ensure that delivery partners meet performance requirements in terms of project delivery timeframes and quality. Francis also oversees the scalable, responsive, and quality delivery of external customer works through a highly effective delivery partner model.

Francis Flores obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Mapúa University, which they attended from 2001 to 2005. Later, from 2017 to 2020, they pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) at Wintec - Waikato Institute of Technology and completed a program resulting in a qualification as a New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (NZDE).
