Ben Uretsky

Co-Founder & COO at Welcome Homes

Ben Uretsky is the co-founder and COO of Welcome Homes. Prior to that, they were a board member at DigitalOcean from June 2011 to March 2021. Ben was also the co-founder and CEO of ServerStack from January 2004 to July 2013.

Uretsky has over 17 years of experience in the tech industry. Ben co-founded DigitalOcean in 2011 and has lead the strategy and vision that propelled DigitalOcean from a cloud startup for developers to one of the largest and fastest growing cloud computing platforms. The company has expanded its worldwide infrastructure footprint with multiple datacenter locations around the globe and has raised $123 million in funding from Andreessen Horowitz, Access Industries, IA Ventures, CrunchFund, and Techstars.

In their previous role as CEO of ServerStack, Uretsky led the company through its successful acquisition by Rackspace in 2013. Prior to that, they were the founder and CEO of iPhrase Technologies, a natural language search software company which was acquired by IBM in 2002.

Ben Uretsky attended Stuyvesant High School, a top public high school in New York City. Ben then went on to study Information Technology at [Pace University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. After graduation, they joined TechStars, a startup accelerator.
