Sara Kuppin Chokshi, DrPH has a diverse work experience in the field of healthcare innovation, research, and strategy. Sara is currently an Independent Consultant at Digital Health Research, Innovation & Strategy, where they apply their expertise to various projects. Prior to this, they worked as part of the Product R&D team at Scalable Care, focusing on developing innovative healthcare products.

Before their current roles, Dr. Chokshi served as the Director of Research at HITLAB from 2020 to 2023. Sara was responsible for leading research initiatives in the healthcare technology space. Sara also held positions at NYU Langone Health, where they worked as an Assistant Professor and as the Assistant Director of the Healthcare innovation Bridging Research, Informatics & Design Lab.

Dr. Chokshi's career began at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Psychiatric Epidemiology. Sara conducted research on the genetics and stigma of mental health, under the supervision of Jo Phelan, Ph.D. Sara also had research roles at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, focusing on mental health research as a Research Scientist and Qualitative Researcher in Epidemiology Services.

In addition to their research experience, Dr. Chokshi also worked as an Adjunct Professor of Sociology at Fordham University, where they shared their knowledge and expertise with students.

Sara Kuppin Chokshi, DrPH, holds a Doctor of Public Health degree in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, which they obtained from 2000 to 2006. Prior to their doctorate, they pursued a Master of Science in Public Health with a focus on Social and Behavioral Science Applied to Health at the University of South Florida College of Public Health from 1996 to 1998. Sara completed their undergraduate studies at New College of Florida from 1991 to 1995, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology.
