Wellan Montessori School (formerly Newton Montessori School) is an independent, coeducational school serving more than 175 families and 250 children ages 15 months through grade 8. Here, you’ll find a dynamic community of learners, where a diverse group of children, families, faculty and staff are united by their common goal of empowering children to explore, learn and grow. Rooted in Montessori philosophy and supported by experiential learning, our approach holds a deep respect for the individuality of each child and a strong belief in their potential. Wellan Montessori accepts children age 15 months through 8th grade.

The Education Team at Wellan Montessori School consists of a diverse group of educators, including primary and middle school teachers, subject specialists, and support staff. Collaboratively, they design and implement Montessori-based and experiential learning curricula, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment tailored to the unique needs and potentials of each student from 15 months through 8th grade. Their collective goal is to empower children to explore, learn, and grow while respecting their individuality and promoting holistic development.
