Magnus Manske

Magnus Manske is a Principal Scientific Software Engineer and Senior Staff Scientist at the Wellcome Sanger Institute since April 2007, where Manske leads the informatics section, managing personnel and overseeing the design, implementation, and application of algorithms and pipelines, along with scientific data analysis and management. Prior to this role, Manske completed an internship at Bayer CropScience in 1995. Manske holds a PhD in Biochemistry, a Diploma in Biology, and a Vordiplom in Biology from the University of Cologne, where studies were conducted between 1993 and 2006, following early education at Hölderlin Gymnasium in Köln.
