Kristina Schapiro

Kristina Schapiro is a seasoned professional in strategy development and leadership, currently serving as the Head of Strategy Development & Impact at Wellcome Trust since May 2025. Prior to this role, Kristina operated as an Independent Consultant from January 2024 to April 2025, providing strategic advisory services while representing Great Britain in horseback archery competitions. Between 2016 and 2023, Kristina held the position of Director at Monitor Deloitte, where responsibilities included driving business growth in the life sciences sector and coaching senior leaders. Additionally, Kristina contributed to fostering an inclusive workplace culture as a member of the UK Strategy Leadership Team. Earlier experience includes co-founding The Courage Journey and working as a Senior Consultant at Monitor Group, supported by advanced degrees from Yale University and the University of Oxford.
