Stephanie Amaya

Stephanie Amaya is an accomplished student researcher and lab liaison at Wellesley College, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Italian. Currently holding the position of ICB Magnum Scholar Blogger at the Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology, Stephanie engages with researchers to discuss their work and developments within the field. Additionally, as an External Manager at Café Hoop, Stephanie coordinates events across student associations and oversees financial planning. Previous experiences include internships focused on diabetes research and health education, mentoring Latinas in STEM, and various research roles that investigate genetic factors influencing insulin resistance and enzyme functions in insect models.
