Erik Hjortshoj

Erik Hjortshoj has extensive experience in technology leadership roles. Erik currently serves as the CTO of SecureSeniorConnections, where they address social isolation among seniors. Prior to that, they worked as a CTO Advisor and Consultant for Wellist, a company focused on improving the patient experience in hospitals. Erik also served as a Technical and Product Development Advisor for Spheryx, providing guidance on software development and operations. Additionally, Erik took a sabbatical to pursue personal interests while still providing advice on technical and product development projects for Motorsporks! Erik has held various leadership positions at companies such as Burning Glass Technologies, ShapeUp, Inc., and American Well, where they provided strategic technology guidance and oversaw teams in areas such as product management, security, and research and development. Erik also worked as the Director of Engineering at Deploy Solutions, Inc. and as a Team Lead/Architect at Inso Corporation, specializing in search engine development and OEM solutions. Throughout their career, Erik has demonstrated skills in product development, technical management, and strategic planning.

Erik Hjortshoj earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics/Computer Science from the University of Rochester between 1983 and 1987.
