John Mendez

John Mendez is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data development and analytics. Currently serving as the Lead Data Warehouse Developer and Data Scientist at WellMed Medical Management since November 2012, John splits responsibilities between leading the Enterprise Data Warehouse team and contributing to the Data Science team. Prior to this role, John worked at USAA from January 2006 to November 2012, initially as an ETL BI Developer supporting the Actuary department and later as a Programmer/Analyst leading the banking preapproval system on the Bank ETL Team. Earlier career experience includes IT support at Texas Tech University for the College of Business Graduate Services Center and an internship at USAA focusing on release coordination and job failure analysis. John holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Science in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University, a Master of Science in Technology Innovation from Purdue University, and both an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University.
