Donna L. Wilson

Donna L. Wilson, Ph.D., LPC has extensive work experience in various organizations. In their most recent role as Director of Operations and Community Engagement at WellPower, they oversee child and family services. Prior to this, they served as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Colorado Denver, teaching a course on multicultural counseling issues. Donna L. also worked as a Program Director at the National Conference of State Legislatures, focusing on children and families. In addition, they held a supervisory position at Adams County Government. Earlier in their career, they held two positions at The Kempe Center, one as Associate Director for Diversity and Inclusion/Assistant Professor and another as Principal Investigator for the Colorado Child Welfare Training System/Assistant Professor. Donna L. also worked as the Director of Disparities and Practice at American Humane. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their expertise in child welfare, diversity and inclusion, and counseling.

Donna L. Wilson, Ph.D., LPC has a strong educational background. Donna L. earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from Tuskegee University in the years 1989 to 1993. Donna L. further pursued their studies and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver from 1995 to 1998. Donna L.'seducation journey continued, leading their to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Administrative Leadership and Policy from the University of Colorado Denver between 2015 and 2019. In addition to their academic achievements, Donna has also obtained various certifications such as the Black Executive Leadership Program from McKinsey & Company, Inclusive Leadership: The Power of Workplace Diversity from the University of Colorado Denver, and Dare to Lead Trained from Dare to Lead™ Trained. Donna L. is also a Licensed Professional Counselor, regulated by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, since September 2000.
