Deborah Aguirre

Deborah (Debbie) Aguirre, CAMS, possesses extensive experience in compliance, risk management, and operations within the financial services sector. Currently serving as the Head of Specialized Customer Screening at Wells Fargo since January 2020, Deborah oversees a 50-member team dedicated to onboarding and conducting ongoing due diligence reviews to ensure compliance with AML, BSA, KYC, and OFAC programs. Prior experience includes various leadership roles at U.S. Bank, where Deborah managed teams focused on financial crimes control and compliance, effectively mitigating operational and reputational risks. Deborah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Foreign Studies from the University of Minnesota and a Master's degree in International Management and Finance from the University of St. Thomas.
