Perry G. Pelos

Advisor to CEO, Commercial Banking at Wells Fargo

Perry Pelos transitioned from CEO of Commercial Banking to an Advisory role in September 2021. Pelos is expected to remain in this role until his announced retirement in April 2022.

Prior to serving as CEO of Commercial Banking, Perry led Wholesale Banking from 2016 to 2020. During 2016, he served as head of Commercial Banking Services and oversaw several important businesses, including Business Banking (serving companies with $5 million to $20 million in annual sales), Middle Market Banking (serving companies with $20 million to $1 billion in annual sales), and Corporate Banking (serving large corporations with sales of $1 billion or more), as well as Treasury Management and Insurance.

From 2009 to 2015, Perry headed Middle Market Banking, with responsibility for more than 25 divisions nationwide. Before that, he was division manager for the Middle Market Central division. In 1998, he was appointed head of the Corporate Banking division, and before that, he held several positions in Middle Market and Corporate Banking. Perry joined Wells Fargo in 1987 in the company’s Commercial Banking training program.

Perry received a B.A. in economics from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. in finance and accounting from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. Perry also serves as a Board Member for the Oregon Historical Society.
