Stuart Brister

Commercial Capital Leader at Wells Fargo

As a Commercial Capital leader, Stuart Brister leads the domestic and international trade services business as well as accounts receivable financing/factoring activities in areas such as consumer products, government services, transportation, staffing, and business services. He also co-leads the middle-market asset-based lending business.

Based in Atlanta, GA, with more than 30 years in the industry, Brister has held various senior management positions in the commercial finance, capital markets, and banking sectors. He joined Wells Fargo in 2005, was named Trade Capital division president in 2007, and Commercial Services division president in 2013. Prior to Wells Fargo, he was president of GMAC Commercial Services, managing director of strategic investment at Bank of America, and president of Bank of America Commercial Corporation.

Brister has served on multiple advisory and corporate boards and is a member of the Commercial Finance Association, Turnaround Management Association, and Association for Corporate Growth. He holds a finance degree from the University of Georgia.
