Dr. David Hoffmann

Dr. David Hoffmann, DO, MBA has extensive experience in various leadership roles within the healthcare industry. Dr. David is currently serving as the Division Medical Director of Hospital Medicine and Vice President of Clinical Process Improvement at WellSpan Health since January 2024. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President and Regional Medical Director at WellSpan Health from January 2020 to November 2020.

Before joining WellSpan Health, Dr. Hoffmann worked at Summit Health, where they served as the Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer from 2013 to 2020. Dr. David also co-founded Summit Hospitalists in 2004 and served as the Medical Director until 2012.

Dr. Hoffmann started their career at Keystone Community Health Center in 1995, where they held the role of Director of the HIV Program until 2011. Dr. David also served as the Medical Director at Keystone Rural Health Center from 1994 to 2004.

Following this, they completed a Family Medicine Residency at Geisinger Medical Center from 1992 to 1994. Finally, in 2011, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee. In addition to their education, Dr. Hoffmann also completed an Advance Lean Training Course at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in 2013.
