Rod Santos

Director, Procurement at Welsbach Electric Corp.

As Director of Procurement, Rod oversees material acquisition and supply chain planning for both project and maintenance work, while also managing supplier/manufacturer relations and communication. In all aspects of his work, Rod strives to drive the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

When Rod joined Welsbach in 2015, he brought with him a diverse skill set rooted in government procurement, which he developed as both a contracted employee and officer in the United States Army. He had also honed his professional expertise teaching subjects like organizational leadership and management as an assistant professor of military science at Penn State University.

Prior to assuming his current role, Rod was heavily involved in the management of requirements and procedures for the notable Kuwait Base Operations and Security Support Services contract. From country-wide construction projects to full-spectrum operational support across the Middle East, Rod’s vast experience covers nearly every facet of supply chain management.

Rod is a member of the Institute for Supply Management as well as the Project Management Institute, and he received his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the later. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
