Felix Potsekayi

Felix Potsekayi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in finance and administration. Felix began their career in 2004 as a Senior Accounts Clerk at bp. Felix then worked as a Finance and Administration Officer at Modebay Investments (Pvt) Ltd from 2006 to 2007, where they were responsible for systems maintenance, budget setting, and monthly management accounts.

In 2008, Felix joined Thomas Meikle Stores, initially as an Assistant Office Manager, and later transitioned to the roles of Assistant Accountant and Assistant Financial Accountant. Felix'sresponsibilities included monthly financial statements, budgeting, reconciliations, and assisting in year-end schedules preparation.

In 2010, Felix temporarily served as an Acting Accountant at Meikles Credit Services before joining Welthungerhilfe in 2013. At Welthungerhilfe, they have held several positions, including Assistant Finance Manager and Financial Administration Expert. In these roles, Felix supported strategic planning and analysis, led budget formulation, provided financial management oversight, ensured the production of high-quality financial reports, and contributed to financial systems and business process improvement.

Currently, Felix is serving as the Head of Finance at Welthungerhilfe, where they continue to apply their expertise in financial management, budgeting, and policy enhancement to support the organization's mission.

Felix Potsekayi has a diverse educational background. Felix obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce from Oxford Brookes University in the years 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Accounting at the same university from 2011 to 2012. Felix also pursued accounting and business studies at ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) from 2011 to 2015, earning an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business in 2012. Additionally, Felix studied Company Secretaryship at The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland from 2004 to 2013. As for their early education, they attended Marist Brothers from 1998 to 2004, focusing on sciences. In terms of certifications, Felix obtained their Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant designation from ACCA in 2015. Felix also became a Registered Public Accountant through the Public Accountants and Auditors Board and an Associate Member of ICSA (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) in the same year.
