Gonzalo Somoza

Gonzalo Somoza has extensive experience in retail and board governance, currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors for several companies, including Grupo Efe, Yáneken, Starken Chile, Builder Commerce, WENCO S.A., and Automotores Gildemeister SA since April 2021. Gonzalo co-founded Builder Commerce and was previously a board member for Sodimac Perú and Tottus until March 2023, and Mallplaza until April 2022. From August 2000 to March 2021, Gonzalo held multiple senior leadership roles at Falabella Retail, culminating in the position of CEO for both Falabella Retail Latam and Falabella Retail Chile, where significant digital transformation efforts resulted in substantial ecommerce growth. Gonzalo's academic credentials include an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and an Executive Program from Singularity University, complemented by a degree in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires.
