Wendover Management, LLC is seeking an outstanding, experienced Maintenance Lead to join our Heritage Village Apartment Community a 123-unit senior community located in Tampa, FL. We are looking for a Maintenance Lead with high energy, expert communication, relationship-building skills, and outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to embrace a shared responsibility environment and work with a diverse group of people while keeping a strong sense of ownership attitude.

Role and Responsibilities

In coordination with the Community Manager, the Maintenance Lead oversees the physical assets, general maintenance repairs, apartment make-readies, and preventive maintenance for the community.

  • Under the direction of the Community Manager, supervise and schedule maintenance activities for the apartment community and maintenance staff.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and respond to resident/management requests and service requests for occupied units.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electronic systems, all major appliances, and other systems in the community (phone jacks, irrigation systems, etc.)
  • Coordinate, schedule, and prepare vacant apartments for move-in.
  • Identify and correct hazardous community conditions.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and apartments.
  • Ordering supplies and managing maintenance budget.
  • Attendance is an essential job function.

Other aspects may include the following:

  • May be requested to assist in other community areas, including office support, etc.
  • Assist with hazardous weather problems, fires, floods, etc.
  • Responsible for overall organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops.
