Ravic Nijbroek

Ravic Nijbroek has a diverse work experience in various organizations and roles. Currently, they serve as the Head of Science & Impact at WWF-Netherlands. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Advisor at WWF Germany. They also worked as a Consultant from 2020 to 2022. Their previous experience includes roles such as Landscape Scientist at CIAT, where they contributed to research on ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes, and Director at Conservation International, where they conducted research on integrated monitoring systems for ecosystem services. They also served as a Technical Manager at Conservation International Suriname, an Environmental Scientist at Janicki Environmental, and a Research Fellow at the International Livestock Research Institute. Overall, Ravic Nijbroek has demonstrated expertise in various areas such as conservation, climate change, and environmental science.

Ravic Nijbroek completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Florida from 1993 to 1996. Ravic then pursued a Master of Engineering (ME) degree in Agricultural Engineering from the same university between 1997 and 1999. In 2001, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Management and Software System Development from Louisiana State University, where they studied until 2003. Lastly, Ravic Nijbroek obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Environmental Science and Policy (Political Ecology) from the University of South Florida from 2006 to 2012. In 2019, they also received a certification in "Business Model Innovation for Sustainable Landscape Restoration" from Coursera.
