Kyriakos Economides

VP Translational Pharmacology at Werewolf Therapeutics

Kyriakos Economides has worked in the biopharmaceutical industry for over 25 years. Kyriakos began their career as a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Utah in 1994. After completing their PhD, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UMDNJ from 2002 to 2006. Kyriakos then moved to Sanofi Genzyme, where they held the roles of Senior Research Investigator and Principal Research Investigator/Senior Scientist from 2006 to 2016. In 2016, they joined XTuit Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as Associate Director/In Vivo Pharmacology, leading internal and external efforts to generate in vivo pharmacology pre-IND packages. Kyriakos then moved to Codiak BioSciences in 2018, where they held the roles of Associate Director, In Vivo Pharmacology, Director, and Senior Director, Pharmacology and Preclinical Toxicology. Most recently, they joined Werewolf Therapeutics in 2022 as Vice President of Translational Pharmacology.

Kyriakos Economides obtained their Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Delaware. Kyriakos then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Human/Medical Genetics from the University of Utah in 1995. Kyriakos continued their studies at the University of Utah School of Medicine, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Genetics in 2002. In 2015, they received two Coursera Course Certificates, one for Diabetes - a Global Challenge and one for Introduction to Genomic Technologies.
