Fengliang Xu

Fengliang Xu is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and development within the mapping and imaging industries. As a Tech Lead Manager at WeRide.ai since June 2018, Fengliang supervises teams focused on automatic solutions for high-definition map generation and manages operations for map expansion across over 50 cities and 6 countries. Prior roles include software engineering positions at Amazon, Google, Skybox Imaging, and ERDAS Inc / Leica Geosystems LLC, where Fengliang worked on backend systems, map services, and photogrammetric software development. With a PhD in photogrammetry, computer vision, and robot navigation from The Ohio State University, along with a BS in Image Processing from the University of Science and Technology of China, Fengliang combines a strong educational foundation with practical expertise.
