Sebastian Yee

Sebastian Yee has extensive work experience in various roles related to engineering and business development in the autonomous driving industry. Sebastian started their career at ST Engineering in 1998, where they held positions such as Director of Engineering, Head of Automated Driving Digital Twin/ Simulation/ Testing/ Training, Head of System Engineering for Automated Driving, and Director of International Business Development. During their time at ST Engineering, they played a key role in transforming a defense-centric engineering team into a commercial product development team and led the development of the first Autonomous Public Bus for public deployment in Singapore. Sebastian also worked at Enterprise Singapore as a Member of the Autonomous Vehicle Technical Reference 68 Working Group. In 2023, they joined WeRide.ai as the Director of Business Development, where they are focused on aligning product, industry, and regulatory aspects of the company's operations. Additionally, Sebastian co-founded Innova Learning in 1998.

Sebastian Yee holds a Master of Science degree in Smart Product Design from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, which they obtained from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Queensland, graduating in 1997. Sebastian also possesses additional certifications in Communication and Listening Skills from LinkedIn, which were obtained in 2020.
