Ryan Amundson has a diverse work experience in the wellness and program management field. Ryan is currently the Director of Wellbeing at WesleyLife, a position they started in October 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Operations at Boys and Girls Clubs of Story County from August 2019 to October 2020. From 2012 to 2019, Ryan held various roles at YMCA of Greater Des Moines, including Regional Wellness Executive, Program Executive, Health and Wellness Senior Program Director, Member Engagement and Wellness Director, and Wellness and Youth Sports Director. Ryan also worked as a Fitness and Wellness Coordinator at KOSAMA, INC. in 2011. Overall, Ryan has a strong background in leading wellness initiatives, creating high-quality programs, and managing operations in the health and wellness industry.

Ryan Amundson received their Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Iowa State University in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma from Roland-Story High School, where they studied from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including a Personal Trainer certification from the American College of Sports Medicine in December 2012, and several certifications through the YMCA, such as Introduction to Fiscal Management, YMCA-USA Executive Preparatory Institute, Facilitation Skills, and Introduction to Leading Others.
