Amr Alhossary

Amr ALHOSSARY is a highly experienced scientist and researcher with a diverse background in computational biology, bioinformatics, and software development. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Wesleyan University and a Senior Scientist at Proteinea, Amr has previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, where significant contributions included the development of gait analysis software and computational social choice simulation packages. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Computational Biology & Bioinformatics from Nanyang Technological University, Amr also co-founded and managed Pulse, the first mHealth company in Egypt, leading innovative telemedicine solutions. Additional experience includes roles as a Principal Investigator, General Practitioner, and Senior Java ME Developer, showcasing a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership in both medical and technological fields.
