Indranil Banik

Indranil Banik is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Portsmouth since September 2024, previously serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of St Andrews from September 2021 to August 2024, where significant contributions included testing the wide binary scenario in the context of Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND), achieving a confidence level of 16 sigma for its failure. Prior to this, Indranil Banik was a Humboldt Fellow at the University of Bonn from August 2018 to July 2021. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Astrophysics from the University of St Andrews and two Master of Science degrees in Astrophysics from the University of Cambridge and Trinity College Cambridge.
