Paul Baggaley

Chief Technical Officer at Wessex Archaeology

Paul Baggaley joined the team at Wessex Archaeology in 2003 as a geophysicist in the Coastal & Marine team having previously worked in a similar role on offshore engineering projects. Over the next few years, Paul expanded the geophysics team to encompass terrestrial geophysics before creating the Geoservices team in 2012. In his current role as Chief Technical Officer, Paul is responsible for the technical and service teams within the company, providing leadership for the Geoservices, IT, Quality, and Compliance teams. The Geoservices team are now the market leader in the sector, winning work across the UK and internationally.

Paul is a visiting lecturer for an MSc in Marine Archaeology at both the University of Southern Denmark in Esbjerg and Flinders University in Adelaide.
