The Role
In this newly created position, the Construction Stores and Facilities Manager will be responsible for meticulously documenting all existing and new equipment, overseeing stock flow, and maintaining the facilities within the Construction division, including buildings and yard space. Collaborating closely with the Construction team, you will play a vital role in facilitating operations, coordinating with Procurement and Finance to manage material and equipment releases, and ensuring accurate stock and equipment levels. Additionally, you will lead a small team of yard staff.
Situated in the Civils Yard, your key responsibilities will involve establishing, implementing, and managing a cataloguing system for equipment and tools. This includes issuing items to individuals and implementing a Personal Holding Record for each employee and respective team. Your role extends to defining the 'equipment package' for each role, handling the issuance of kit to new hires, replacing worn/lost/damaged items, and recovering kit from employees leaving the company or changing roles.
Collaborating with the Procurement and Finance team, you will adopt and maintain the stock management system, ensuring accurate reception, storage, and issuance of stock. This entails picking and issuing stock to teams 48 hours before it is required and re-stocking items that is not needed at the end of a project.
As the focal point for the organisation and maintenance of the Civils Yard, you will prioritize tidiness to enhance efficiency and uphold the highest standards of Health and Safety across all facilities and operations within the yard. If you are a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and managerial skills, we encourage you to apply for this integral role.
