Head Of Academy & Skills at Wessex Water

Becca Thurston has a diverse work experience spanning skills advising, apprenticeship coordination, and managerial roles in various organizations. Becca began their career as a Centre Manager at CITE Associates Ltd in 1999, specializing in NVQ training. Becca then worked as an e2e Manager at TBG Learning until 2004. From 2004 to 2006, they served as an Employer Coordinator at the college of north west London. Becca then moved to Newham College as an Apprenticeship Coordinator from 2006 to 2007. Becca continued their apprenticeship coordination role at Norton Radstock College from 2007 to 2011, where they also worked as the Get Sorted Manager for e2e & NEET. In 2013, Becca joined the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership as a Skills Advisor, focusing on apprenticeships and inward investment, until 2015. In the same year, they briefly worked as a Skills Advisor at Business West. Currently, Becca is working at Wessex Water, initially as an Early Careers Manager and now as the Head of Academy & Skills.

Becca Thurston began their education journey in 1996 at Bangor University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Literature (British and Commonwealth) until 1999. Afterward, they attended Bath Spa University from 2011 to 2013, where they completed a PGCE degree in Post 16 Teaching.
