Kirsty Scarlett

Kirsty Scarlett has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kirsty started their career at BBC News in 1992 as an Election Office Assistant. Following this, they worked at Brewin Dolphin as a Private Client Senior Portfolio Manager. In 2005, they joined Voluntary Action Kennet as a Marketing & Information Officer. Kirsty then moved on to Charities Information Bureau South & West in 2009, where they worked as a Funding Advisor. In 2013, they started their own business as a Freelance Fundraising Consultant at Littlehare Consulting. Later, they joined the Community Foundation for Wiltshire and Swindon, first as a Grants Manager and later as the Marketing & Communications Manager. Kirsty'smost recent work experience includes being the Head of Community Engagement at Wessex Water and a Director at Wiltshire and Swindon Credit Union. Overall, Kirsty has expertise in community engagement, fundraising, marketing, and communications.

Kirsty Scarlett completed their secondary education at The Abbey School, Reading from 1985 to 1991. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in English Literature at The University of Edinburgh from 1991 to 1995, earning an MA (Hons).

In terms of additional certifications, Kirsty obtained a Private Client Investment Advice & Management Diploma from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in June 2000. Kirsty also completed the course "Advising VCS Groups on Funding Issues (Accredited)" at the Open College Network in March 2010. In March 2012, they obtained a certification in "Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector" from City & Guilds 6302 Level 3. Kirsty furthered their professional development by completing a certification in "Social Entrepreneurship (Accredited)" from the Board of Studies of Oxford University Department for Continuing Education in July 2013. Most recently, in April 2021, they obtained the "Directors Learning Pathway" certification from the Association of British Credit Unions.
