Jakob Bruhl is an experienced Structural Engineer currently employed at Wessler Engineering. With a distinguished career in the U.S. Army as an Engineer Officer, Jakob has also held various academic and leadership roles, including Civil Engineering Program Director at the United States Military Academy at West Point and faculty positions at Purdue University and UIUC. Recognized for excellence in teaching and engineering education, Jakob has received multiple awards such as the ASEE Outstanding New Mechanics Educator. The academic background includes a PhD in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, complemented by a robust portfolio of research in protective structure design and practical experience in large-scale construction projects. Jakob's expertise extends to advising undergraduate projects, conducting innovative research, and leading engineering teams in complex construction and design initiatives.
