Steve Jackson, P.E., ENV SP has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Steve started their career as a Construction Laborer at Kiefner Brothers Inc in 1990 and worked there until 1995. Steve then joined Hall & Riley Construction as a Quality Control Manager from 1999 to 2000. After that, they worked at Pace Construction Company as a Project Engineer and Quality Control from 2000 to 2007.

In 2007, Steve joined N.B. West Contracting as a Technical Manager, where they developed solutions to technical challenges in the field of asphalt pavements. Steve advocated for the increased utilization of reclaimed asphalt materials and warm mix asphalt. Steve later became the General Manager of the company in 2017, leading the division in innovation, dependability, and employee performance. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Asphalt Plant Operations and Sustainability at N.B. West Contracting, which they have been serving since April 2023.

Steve's involvement in the industry extends beyond their role at N.B. West Contracting. Steve has also served on the Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association, holding various positions such as Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President, President, and Board Member from 2019 to present.

Steve Jackson, P.E., ENV SP has a diverse education history. Steve obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla. Steve also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Furthermore, Steve has pursued further education through the Missouri S&T Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Graduate School Continuing Education program, focusing on Construction Engineering & Project Management.

To augment their expertise, Steve has acquired several certifications. Steve became a Professional Engineer through the Missouri Department of Economic Development in December 2022. Steve is also an Envision Sustainability Professional certified by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure since February 2023. Additionally, Steve holds a Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker, allowing him to handle hazardous materials and drive commercial vehicles. Moreover, they are a Remote Pilot - Unmanned Aircraft System certified by the Federal Aviation Administration.

In terms of their ongoing education, Steve is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Missouri State University MBA Program, specializing in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Steve is expected to complete this program in 2024.

Other educational endeavors include taking courses in Quantitative Enterprise Risk Management at Missouri State University in 2023. Additionally, Steve participated in a course on Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law at the Missouri University of Science and Technology in the same year.
