Kate Tillotson-Chavez

Kate Tillotson-Chavez is an Associate Biologist at Western EcoSystems Technology, specializing in habitat restoration and monitoring to enhance vegetation and pollinator biodiversity. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Researcher and multiple teaching assistant positions at Southern Illinois University, where Kate focused on topics such as pollination ecology, plant diversity, and systematics. Previous positions involve overseeing field studies in silviculture at The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and hands-on restoration work at Meadowview Biological Research Station. Educationally, Kate holds a Master of Science in Plant Biology from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Conservation Biology from the University of Mary Washington.
