Madalena Pinto

Madalena Pinto, P.Biol., RPBio, is an experienced ecologist currently working at Western EcoSystems Technology (WEST) since March 2024. Prior roles include serving as a Vegetation Ecologist at EDI Environmental Dynamics Inc from December 2021 to November 2023 and as a Native Plant Assistant at ALCLA Native Plants in 2021. Madalena has extensive experience in vegetation surveys and ecological studies, previously working as a Principal Vegetation Ecologist at Wintergreen Consulting Ltd. from 2014 to 2021 and a Vegetation Specialist at TERA Environmental Consultants between 2012 and 2014. Early career experience includes research assistant positions at the University of Calgary, where notable contributions were made to studies on bull trout migration and behavior. Madalena holds a BSc in Ecology from the University of Calgary, an MSc in Molecular Developmental Biology and Genetics from McMaster University, and a BSc Honours in Biochemistry from McMaster University.
